Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Rissoles
- 1 lb (450g) ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- ¼ tsp black pepper (or to taste)
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, fresh breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, egg, chopped parsley or cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Form Patties: Shape the mixture into small patties about 1-inch thick. Make sure the patties are uniform in size for even cooking.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature before cooking the rissoles.
- Prepare Air Fryer Basket: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking. Arrange the rissoles in a single layer without overcrowding to allow proper air circulation.
- Cook Rissoles: Air fry the rissoles for 12 to 15 minutes until they turn golden brown on the outside and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) for safe consumption.
- Serve: Remove the rissoles carefully and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side dish.
Notes
- You can substitute parsley with cilantro or other fresh herbs depending on preference.
- Ensure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow even cooking and crispiness.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature for food safety.
- If you prefer spicier rissoles, add chili flakes or a dash of cayenne pepper to the mixture.
- These rissoles can be served with salads, rice, or as a protein-packed snack.
