Description

This flavorful Taco Dip is a crowd-pleasing appetizer featuring seasoned ground beef, refried beans, creamy sour cream, and melted cheddar cheese. Perfect for parties or casual gatherings, it’s easy to prepare and bakes to bubbly perfection, served best with crunchy Fritos.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat and Beans

  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 1 (15-oz) can refried beans
  • 1 (1-oz) package taco seasoning

Dairy

  • 1 (8-oz) container sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Serving

  • Fritos corn chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. Brown the Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned and fully cooked through. Drain excess fat from the beef to avoid greasiness in the dip.
  2. Prepare the Bean Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the refried beans, browned ground beef, and taco seasoning thoroughly. Spread this mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer Sour Cream and Cheese: Gently spread the sour cream on top of the bean and beef layer. Then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the sour cream layer to cover the surface.
  4. Bake the Dip: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and melted. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Serve: Serve the taco dip warm with Fritos corn chips for scooping and enjoy as a delicious party appetizer or snack.
