Description
A simple and delicious recipe for perfectly roasted sweet potatoes, seasoned with garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cinnamon. These golden cubes are crispy on the edges and tender inside, making an ideal side dish for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
Sweet Potatoes
- 4 medium sweet potatoes
Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s hot enough to roast the sweet potatoes to perfection.
- Prepare the sweet potatoes: Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into 1-inch cubes to allow for even cooking and a nice crispy exterior.
- Season the potatoes: In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, ground cinnamon, salt, and pepper until all pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Arrange on baking sheet: Spread the seasoned sweet potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking and promote even roasting.
- Roast the sweet potatoes: Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast the sweet potatoes for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to ensure they brown evenly and develop crispy edges.
- Garnish and serve: Once roasted, remove the sweet potatoes from the oven and, if desired, garnish with fresh parsley for a burst of color and freshness before serving warm.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, make sure the sweet potatoes are spaced out and not overcrowded on the baking sheet.
- You can customize spices by adding chili powder for heat or a touch of brown sugar for sweetness.
- Leftover roasted sweet potatoes are great in salads, wraps, or as a quick snack.
