Ingredients
Scale
Buffalo Chicken Mixture
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 cups (280g) rotisserie chicken, shredded and chopped
- 1 cup (113g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup (113g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup (84g) buffalo sauce
Puff Pastry and Finishing
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Ranch dressing, for drizzling
- Extra buffalo sauce, for drizzling
- Parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
- Make the Buffalo Chicken Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded rotisserie chicken, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and buffalo sauce. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Set this mixture aside.
- Prepare the Puff Pastry: Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet into a 9×12-inch rectangle to create a flat base for your filling.
- Fill and Roll the Pastry: Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving about a 1/2-inch border around the edges. Carefully roll the pastry into a tight log, sealing the edges as you roll to keep the filling contained. Slice the rolled log into 1-inch pieces for individual roll-ups.
- Bake the Roll-Ups: Arrange the roll-ups on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to help them develop a shiny, golden crust. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until they turn golden brown. Optionally, top with additional buffalo chicken mixture and bake for another 6–8 minutes to warm through.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once baked, drizzle the roll-ups with extra buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. Garnish with fresh parsley, then serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Using rotisserie chicken saves time and adds extra flavor.
- Ensure puff pastry is properly thawed before rolling to avoid cracking.
- You can adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to make it milder or spicier.
- For added crispness, place the roll-ups on a wire rack before baking to allow even heat circulation.
- These roll-ups can be made ahead and reheated in the oven before serving.
