Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 cup salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ºF to ensure it’s at the right temperature for baking the dip evenly.
  2. Mix and Layer: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and taco seasoning until well mixed. Spread this mixture evenly into the bottom of a 1-quart baking dish. Spoon the salsa evenly over the cream cheese layer, then sprinkle the remaining ¾ cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the salsa layer.
  3. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, with lightly golden edges. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use your favorite salsa for a personalized flavor—mild, medium, or hot all work well.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
  • For a creamier texture, allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature before mixing.
  • Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated; reheat before serving.
