Fresas Con Crema Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream Mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the sour cream, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and sugar if using, until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Layer the Dessert: In individual serving glasses or bowls, layer the sliced strawberries and drizzle the cream mixture over the top. Repeat layers if desired to build the dessert.
- Chill Before Serving: Place the assembled desserts in the refrigerator and chill for 10–15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set slightly.
- Garnish and Serve: Top each serving with whipped cream and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired. Serve cold for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- For a thicker and creamier consistency, substitute sour cream with Mexican-style table cream (crema).
- Greek yogurt can be used instead of sour cream for a lighter, tangier version.
- Feel free to mix in other fruits such as blueberries, bananas, or raspberries for added variety and flavor.
