Description

This decadent Snickers Fudge recipe layers creamy milk chocolate, marshmallow creme mixed with peanut butter and salted peanuts, rich caramel, and a finishing milk chocolate layer, all chilled to perfect consistency. It combines classic candy flavors into an indulgent homemade treat perfect for sharing or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Layers

  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup butterscotch chips
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 4 tablespoons butter (for marshmallow layer)

Marshmallow Layer

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup evaporated milk
  • 1 ½ cups marshmallow crème
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups salted peanuts, chopped

Caramel Layer

  • 14 ounces caramel cubes
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Make the First Chocolate Layer: In a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, melt together the milk chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter. Stir until smooth and creamy. Then, spread this mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan. Chill in the refrigerator until set, about 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Marshmallow Layer: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar and evaporated milk and cook until the sugar dissolves. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil for about 3 minutes, then remove from heat. Mix in the marshmallow crème, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and chopped salted peanuts until smooth. Pour the marshmallow mixture evenly over the chilled chocolate layer and refrigerate again for about 30 minutes until set.
  3. Create the Caramel Layer: Melt the caramel cubes and heavy cream together in a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan until smooth and creamy. Pour this caramel mixture evenly over the set marshmallow layer and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until firm.
  4. Add the Final Chocolate Layer: Repeat the melting process used for the first chocolate layer by combining milk chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter until smooth. Spread this final chocolate layer evenly over the caramel layer. Chill the entire dessert in the refrigerator until firm, about 2-3 hours, before serving.

Notes

  • Use a greased pan or line with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Ensure each layer is fully set before adding the next for distinct layers.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • For easier cutting, let fudge sit at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Add extra chopped peanuts on top for garnish if desired.
